What's up guys, I'm back from my hiatus to review the long awaited Dunkin'. Today I tried the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. After waiting in the understandably long line I ordered my go to breakfast meal and a glazed blueberry croissant. Now I usually go to Peet's for the bacon, egg, and cheese on an egg everything bagel but in the spirit of trying new things I decided to brave the long line to try the Dunkin' Bacon Egg and Cheese. Before we get started I have to say I've previously had this exact meal at different locations and while not the best bacon egg and cheese it is a high C or low B tier BEC.
So let's get started. Up there is a photo after I took a few bites which reinvigorated me to write another review. This was downright one of the worst bacon egg and cheeses I have ever eaten. Given these ingredients I can think of few ways to make this sandwich worse.
The presentation was unappealing. I do like the square paper with two openings but the sandwich itself was messy in a bad way and colorless. 3 for presentation.
The sandwich tasted as bad as it looked. The croissant was not buttery and completely dry, the bacon was passable, the cheese was one slice of Kraft singlesesque American cheese that was completely unmelted, the egg whites were an interesting addition but did not work with the larger sandwich. Even the heinz mayo packet could barely save this sandwich. However, it was edible. 3 for taste.
The texture of the croissant was good even though it was dry as it was also flaky. The unmelted cheese brings this score down by a decent margin. 6 for texture.
The aroma was acceptable. It was not very strong I wish the cheese was melted more and the whole sandwich could have been cooked more thoroughly. 6 for aroma.
The cost was alright. I am going to pretend I did not use monopoly money to buy the sandwich so it would cost $4.5 which is not the worst as it was actually surprisingly filling. 7 for cost.
The nutritional value was not very good. There is a high amount of saturated fat and not many nutrients. 4 for nutritional value.
