Nestled in between antiquated yet repurposed and refurbished brick factory buildings is a unique establishment called Elliot's hot dogs.
It has sat on Elliot street, facing hardship after hardship, for the past 102 years. Thankfully it prevailed and I was able to experience the wonderful atmosphere and enjoy the delicious food of Elliot's Hot Dogs. Before we get into my experience I have selected a few reviews I read prior to making my decision to eat at this establishment.
I ordered a chili cheese dog with a side of onion rings and fries and sat in the back corner with my beautiful girlfriend eager for my meal to be ready.
Not long after sitting down my meal was ready and it was time to begin the ritual of my review. Upon first glance the glizzy looks fabulous. The small paper white plate along with the tray add a nice homey touch to the golden brown glizzy wrapped in a toasted bun and topped with fragrant chili. For presentation and aroma this receives 7 and 8. Upon taking a bite a wonderful feeling crawled up the muscles of my mouth and jaw. The soft buttery and flaky toast gave way to a sausage that was cut by my teeth effortlessly and practically melted in my mouth. The texture could not be improved upon by any means, this earns it a 10. The taste was magnificent, the bun was buttery, the chili is everything I could have asked for, however the sausage itself could have used some more seasoning. This earned an 8 in taste. The nutritional value of this sandwich is no doubt low. I await the perfect food which is cheap, tasty, and nutritious but no such food exists on this blog yet. 4 in nutrition. Lastly, the cost of this glizzy was 3.55, a bit much for a glizzy even a chili cheese one but acceptable and affordable nonetheless. Overall this was a 7.42 and is one of my favorite establishments on this blog. Hopefully I will be back to Lowell soon to try the other menu items!
excellent review as always I hope you will return to Lowell in the near future for more commentary on another menu item
